Two Years On, Baby Angel Overstreet Still Missing with Few Leads and No Updates

Since May 2021

Huntington, WV — The mysterious disappearance of Angel Nichole Overstreet, who went missing in early May 2021 at just 3 months old, continues to baffle authorities and leave the community heartbroken. Despite the passage of two years, there have been virtually no updates or new leads in the case.

The Disappearance

Angel was last seen in Huntington, West Virginia, in the care of her father, Shannon Patrick Overstreet. Although the exact date of her disappearance is unclear, she was last seen on May 1, 2021. West Virginia's Child Protective Services (CPS) reported her missing on May 24, 2021, after Shannon claimed he had turned Angel over to two CPS workers about two weeks prior. However, CPS agencies in West Virginia, Kentucky, and Ohio have no record of such an exchange, raising concerns for Angel's safety.

Father a Person of Interest

Shannon Overstreet was arrested on unrelated charges of felony malicious wounding and battery after allegedly severely beating his own mother. He has a prior criminal record for multiple violent offenses, including forcibly tattooing his name on a woman. Community's Plea

The Huntington community remains deeply concerned. "Angel deserves to be found and she deserves justice," said Cheyenne Monk, a member of the Facebook Group 'MISSING IN WEST VIRGINIA.' "If you know something, please say something. Anything at all will help even if you think it's insignificant."

Limited Searches

Authorities have conducted limited searches, including draining and searching a pond on Shannon's property in Olive Hill, Kentucky, but found no evidence. The Huntington Police Department has released little information since their first press conference in May 2021.

How to Help

Angel cannot speak for herself and needs the world to speak for her. Reports can be made anonymously through Crime Stoppers of Huntington, WV online, over the phone, or directly to the Huntington Police Department. "Angel should be getting ready to start preschool in the fall, not missing without a trace," Monk added.

As the years pass, the urgency to find Angel and bring her home intensifies. The family and community will not rest until Angel is found and justice is served.
